The Lakeshore Park Picnic

Saturday, June 13th, 2026, 6-9 pm Marble Hall at Lakeshore Park

About The Picnic

The Lakeshore Park Picnic is a community event, bringing Knoxville together to experience incredible food and company, all in the stunning setting of Knoxville's premier public park. The goal of the picnic is to raise funds and awareness, but there is no confusing it with a black-tie gala. It just feels like dinner al fresco with friends on a warm summer night in East Tennessee. Picnic attendees will enjoy live music from Local Lore, and have the opportunity to bid on plein air paintings of the Park from local artists Jonathan Howe, Marguerite Hogan, and Sarah Pollock.

Picnic Baskets & Tickets

Guests may purchase an alcohol-included or non-alcohol ticket and bring their own meal, or choose a basket package which includes a meal for two from a local restaurant and two alcohol-included tickets.

Art in the Park

This year's Picnic will feature plein air paintings from three local artists. One piece from each artist will be live auctioned during the event, others will be for sale to Picnic attendees.

Sarah Pollock

Landscapes and cityscapes are the favorite subjects of Sarah Pollock, a former color stylist for Walt Disney Feature Animation who now works as a professional artist in eastern Tennessee. Sarah paints in oils, often working outdoors, directly on location, to capture the many beautiful landscapes around her home. She also finds inspiration in urban environments, drawing on their energy, architecture and humanity to capture the beauty of everyday moments she encounters while traveling throughout the United States and Europe. Sarah’s paintings are part of private collections throughout the country. She exhibits her paintings in juried outdoor fine art shows throughout the East Coast.

Jonathan Howe

Jonathan Howe is a professional visual artist, continually developing his skills as a painter. In 2007, he graduated from Maryville College with a Bachelors of Art and soon launched into a full-time art career painting portraits and landscapes. Beginning with several portrait commissions, he soon discovered the joy of landscape painting as a way to communicate a story with moody light, color and expressive brushwork. His landscapes reveal his love for the outdoors developed by many years of hiking the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains and other national parks across the country. He has had the privilege of creating works for private and corporate collectors across the southeast.

Marguerite Hogan

Marguerite Smith Hogan is an emerging East Tennessee artist whose work is inspired by the region’s rich landscapes and natural beauty. Working both in the studio and en plein air, she creates expressive paintings primarily in oil, while also exploring acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media with oil and cold wax. Marguerite began exhibiting and selling her work after being juried into Artsclamation! in 2017. Since then, her paintings have been selected for additional Artsclamation! exhibitions, several ArtXtravaganza events, and the Knoxville Museum of Art’s Artists on Location plein air event. As she continues refining her voice and technique, Marguerite is working toward her goal of becoming a full-time artist.
