Plan Details

In the fall of 2024 Lakeshore Park Conservancy completed Phase 2 Part 1 of the the Updated Master Plan for Lakeshore Park. This plan was prepared by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects and approved by City Council in 2020 after a lengthy public input process. The first part of the Phase 2 improvements included a new baseball complex, soccer area walkways and parking, pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a sports green and seating area for small meetings.

The improvements also included a 35-foot high sculptural mound, a new playground, three new pavilions, relocation of some sections of the perimeter walking trail, renovation of the Central Pavilion restrooms, new parking, sidewalks, and lighting.
