Lakeshore Park is now a public park in perpetuity. Today, Mayor Rogero and Liz McLaurin of the Land Trust for TN signed the Lakeshore Park conservation easement. Under a conservation easement, the open space, parkland resources, recreational uses, watershed protection, wildlife habitat, and scenic characteristics will be conserved and maintained forever and uses of the Park that are inconsistent with these conservation purposes will be prevented. What does that mean? Lakeshore Park will be permanently preserved and maintained as a public park for generations to come. Thank you to the Mayor and everyone who made this great day possible.
